dontcha be all grumpy

My mom's friend heard about my, erm, interest in fashion and gave me a bunch of her old vintage clothes. Some she thrifted in London (London!) in the 70's, and some of the clothes used to be her mom's, like this top from the fifties.top and skirt, thrifted. belt, childhood closet. headband, h&m.

God I love sunlight. It seriously makes me feel optimistic, something lots of junk food and Shirley Temple classics could never do.

The best kind of vintage is the kidn you don't have to pay for! I often wish my mum hadn't thrown away all her '80s (and earlier) clothes! Char x

Yaay for mom's friends. My mothers friend gave me her vintage gold charm bracelet with all her charms from her childhood. I can't believe it now, I could never let something like that go. It's full and must be worth a pretty penny now. Sadly it got stolen but I am starting my own now. You are darling and this outfit is great on you.

I'm jealous! I want someone to donate clothes to me. The combo of the shirt and skirt is AMAZING! The shape of the skirt is really lovely.

Great association. The print of the shirt is awesome.
Just a shame that the pictures are that blurry... :(

You are so, so lucky! British fashion was at it's height in the 70's! Ossie Clark, Celia Birtwell, Biba, Zandra Rhodes, of course Vivienne Westwood, and my personal favorite - Thea Porter. I found an Ossie Clark coat at a garage sale 3 years ago. I thought I had won the lottery. ;) I love the pattern on the shirt/dress you're wearing. Good score!
